Time period: April 2013 to December 2013, duration 8 months.

Bitcoin started rising from $50 and reached $1,000 in December 2013, a 23-fold increase.

After that, it fell all the way to $150 in January 2015, an 87 percent drop. But while Bitcoin fell to $150.

The main chips at this stage were concentrated in the hands of East Asian retail investors.

Fourth bull market.

Timeframe: 2 years duration from January 2016 to December 2017, July 2016 Bitcoin production halved.

Bitcoin started a slow rise from $400 in January 2016 to $20,000 in December 2017, a 50-fold increase.

In 2017, Bitcoin went from $1,000 in January to $5,000 in 10 months. And the spike from $7,000 to $2,0000 took only 20 days - big bull runs are often short-lived.

The 5th bull market
