For Rihanna, there's nothing sexier than shining bright from the inside.
The "Love On The Brain" singer has been no stranger to embracing her sex appeal throughout her career, and she had some incredible advice when it comes to how she'd encourage other women to do the same.
"This sounds cliche, but it really starts from the inside," she exclusively told E! News’ Francesca Amiker at Savage X Fenty's exclusive Nordstrom preview to celebrate the debut of the Lavish Lace collection Oct. 10. "You've heard that a million times. It's only because it's true."
She added, "It does not matter what you look like."
As Rihanna noted, from her perspective, sexiness is all about being yourself and doing so unapologetically.
"There is a presence that a woman can carry and hold when she walks into a room, being completely authentically who she is and not caring who's looking that is my type of woman," she said. "I want to encourage as much as possible."
And one way that Rihanna's doing that is by making lingerie as accessible and inclusive as possible, which is why she brought her Savage x Fenty line to Nordstrom, the brand's first retail partner in the U.S.
But as far as she sees it, lingerie doesn't just have to be for special occasions. With the Lavish Lace collection, Rihanna "wanted to make lace for every day" to give women the option of feeling sexy whenever they wanted.
"Lace doesn't have to be seen," she explained. "It can be for you at the end of your T-shirts, under your jeans, wherever you go."
The beauty mogul expressed excitement over her brand's new partnership with Nordstrom—which was first announced in August—because of how many more people she'll be able to reach with her messages of inclusivity.
"The inspiration was really to have savage just be as accessible as I can have it be globally and in North America," she said, "Nordstrom is just one of those leading retailers, and it's our very first partnership in retail in the US. So it's exciting for us."
She gushed, "We cannot wait to meet our new customers, our new friends and fans of the business and the company. And we just want to inspire women to be as great as they deserve to feel."
