Matthew McConaughey's latest health update really stings.
The Magic Mike star shared that he got stung by a bee that caused his right eye to swell completely shut.
Posting a photo of his swollen look on Instagram July 10, Matthew proved he can have a sense of humor even during a stressful time, flashing his signature smile and captioning the image, "bee swell."
And of course, his fans were quick to respond back with humor, with one person commenting, "Are you all right all right all right?"
Bee sting aside, he seems to be doing alright now that he's found his balance in life. The Oscar winner—who shares kids Levi, 15, Vida, 14, and Livingston, 11 with wife Camila Alves McConaughey—recently spoke about his decision to step back from his acting career in the late 2000s and build his home base in Texas instead of Los Angeles, which allowed him to find his groove.
"I've usually zigged when I felt like Hollywood wanted me to zag," he explained to fellow actor Glen Powell for Interview in June. "When I had my rom-com years, there was only so much bandwidth I could give to those, and those were some solid hits for me. But I wanted to try some other stuff. Of course I wasn't getting it, so I had to leave Hollywood for two years."
And the 54-year-old said he found the time "scary," especially as he reassessed what he wanted his future to look like.
"I honestly thought, 'I stepped out of Hollywood. I got out of my lane,'" he said. "The lane Hollywood said I should stay in, and Hollywood's like, 'Well, f--k you, dude. You should have stayed in your lane. Later.'"
Luckily, he was able to make his way back into acting, even winning an Oscar for his role in The Dallas Buyers Club in 2014.
